Description
Hi, I've been cleaning windows WFP for over 10 years, and when I get time I make up these fully fitted, ready to work vans along side my cleaning business.
The fit is a tried and tested design, no money wasted on bits of kit you don't need, but absolutely everything you do need to start earning the same day you buy it, including a full tool/spares kit to keep you working if anything gets damaged while out working.
The Van is a 2004 Citroen Berlingo 1.9 Diesel 'The best all-round small van on the road - Parkers Reviews', with only 92k miles. If you go to the DVLA's 'Vehicle check' page and type in the reg: 'CP54 GCZ' You'll see it's taxed and MOT'd until Nov.
If you check the DVLA's 'MOT History' page, you'll see it's mileage recorded at every MOT it has had.
In it's previous life it was used by a lady for her part time parcel delivery round. Hence the light use and low mileage.
There is a slight dent in the bottom of the rear door below the number plate, which has been causing a 'Door Open' warning, but as long as you close it firmly it is fine. The only other issue is that the airbag light has come on for no apparent reason, which is a very common issue with these vans and usually caused by a sensor switch under the drivers seat.
But I've been using it as a run around for a few weeks, and it starts and runs beautifully, and is in very clean, unworn condition all round as you can see. It has been well serviced, and the service book has been stamped as having the timing belt changed 16k miles ago.
I've fully sealed and treated the bed with Protecta-Kote Bedliner.
The WFP setup is as follows:
• 350L baffled tank, fixed in place by anchor points welded to the van bed. Also has a float valve fitted to the inlet, so the water shuts off automatically when the tank is full.
• 70AH leisure battery secured beneath the passenger seat to keep in dry and for safety and mains battery charger.
• 100psi Shurflo pump - the industry standard, with a spare micro-switch included in the spares kit as this is the only part that ever wears out eventually, and is easy to change.
• Digital Flow controller.
• 11L DI vessel with brand new virgin DI resin.
• 75m 8mm microbore hose on a Claber reel and inline tap.
• 60m 1/2" hose on Hozelock reel for filling the tank on the job.
• 20ft x4 section modular fibreglass pole with vikan brush and pencil jets.
• 3.2m telescopic ladder for access.
• 5m telescopic Harris pole for scraping 1st floor windows.
• Safety sign.
• TDS meter.
All fittings and components are brand new and trade quality. No DIY store shortcuts.
At some point in the future, you will want to invest in extra water purification equipment to maximize your running cost efficiency. But there are a few options which depend on the water quality in your area, and the volume of work you will be doing, so I will advise on the best choice depending on your circumstances.
And you don't need any extras to get going. The DI vessel included does all you need. we'll test the output of the van on the day of sale for you to see it is producing 0.0 water ready for work. The extra kit is only for economy in the long run.
If you are coming from away, I will happily pick you up from Swansea train or bus station for you to test drive it back to my house.
And once the sale is completed, I'll be happy to take you out on my round to give you full training for a few hours if you're new to WFP. I can give you a lot of pointers and 'trade secrets' to help you maximize your earnings from day 1.
