Maths, Chemistry and Physics Tutor
Description
Hi there, I am a PhD student in Chemical Engineering at the University of Edinburgh and I am offering tutorial sessions in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics from secondary to undergraduates level.
I have been tutoring for over 3 years both privately and as part of the teaching staff at the university helping undergraduate students to unlock their potential and gain greater insights in their subject. Prior to my time at the University of Edinburgh, I was a tutor and mentor to a group of 15 first year students at the Chemical engineering department at the University college London covering Maths, Chemistry, Physics and other chemical engineering modules.
My approach to tutoring aims to engage the student in the subject while encouraging the student to think beyond the problem using real life and easily understood examples. My first priority is to understand the strength and weaknesses of the student and their approach to learning thus enabling me to tailor my sessions to best meet their needs.
My tutorials are normally very engaging and highly stimulating for students and I have real life experience of using Maths and science in industry so I can make the topic fun and seem worthwhile. I am also able to simplify complex problems and explain it to students in ways they can understand, building up their confidence and helping them gain the knowledge they need to succeed.
I am a very passionate and enthusiastic tutor who is looking to get students excited and engaged in their subject and excel. Prior to my PhD, I completed my masters degree in chemical Engineering at the University College London and worked in drug development in the pharmaceutical industry.
