Description
I sell this LHD Mercedes-Benz A Class 170 CDI (1.7 Turbo Diesel), silver color, November 2001.
It has 249000 km (155625 Miles) but still really reliable.
The engine works like a watch and it does not burn a single drop of oil, as well as the gear box.
I have recently changed the alternator, which costed me 180? and Tyres.
The body is the one of an old car (acceptable), with some dents and scratches but nothing bad, that affect the drive or the MOT. No rust.
THINGS TO DO BEFORE MOT (EXPIRED ON 10/12/2020)
Oil, filters and brake discs change (approx. 150?).
THINGS NOT WORKING
OIL BULB: After half an hour from the engine start, the oil spy on the dashboard switches on but is an electric problem due to a malfunction of the bulb. Changing it is too expensive and it does not affect the drive because the car does not burn a single drop of oil (Oil stick periodically checked);
FUEL INDICATOR: It indicates only the full and the ?almost empty? (You will not be left on foot). The intermediate lectures are not done, because of a malfunction of the sensor. It does not affect the drive at all. It still has a low fuel consumption rate. With a full tank (55Lts) you can do 500 Miles therefore, you can also take a count of the miles before refueling, setting up the partial tachymeter, which is what I actually do.
In general, the car drives very well and it would be good for a new licensed or similar. This car gives its best on motorways. It never stops, trust me. It has a lot of life left in it. It?s a bull.
It can also be used as part for repair because the engine, the gear box and the mechanic are in very good working order.
