Can be fitted with a blade for metal cutting. The blades are replaceable from most hardware/DIY stores, and start at around £2.80. The blade included is for wood and other general materials - other than metal. It has been stored in the box since I purchased it and is in the exact same condition as new. The instruction sheet for assembly and use is still in the box, but it has been assembled to show it is working and operational. It can be fitted to any worktop or table easily, either with clamps, or by screwing the wooden base down permanently.
The lever beneath the saw handle pulls upwards to release the turning mechanism and it can be set at any angle displayed on the circular protractor (angles are die-cast into it)
It has clamps fitted to both sides of the sawing area to secure the item whilst sawing, and the rod has been lubricated for extra smooth sawing action.
All in all a great little mitre saw, sturdy and long lasting - whether you are looking for a hobby saw, or a workshop saw this is a great value and well made saw.
