Fundraising Assistant Volunteer
Description
In Scotland Crisis works directly with people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, campaigning on their behalf and offering a range of services.
We work with politicians, policy makers and the Scottish and Westminster governments to bring about change and share good practice, using expertise from working with single homeless people and our understanding of the issues they face to shape policy and practice.
We carry out UK-wide and Scotland-specific research into the issues faced by those affected by homelessness, identifying causes and solutions.
The private rented sector has long been recognised as a potential source of accommodation for homeless people. We work with local authorities across Scotland to help people live securely and independently in privately rented accommodation. Crisis helps organisations set up and run successful private renting access schemes.
