Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen that would ideally suit an experienced Roofer or Gutter Technician to join a leading Gutter Maintenance company in Berkshire. They are looking for an operative with past experience using ladders, who has a natural ability to work with people and provide excellent customer service.
Your role as an Experienced Roofline Technician will involve providing Gutter Cleaning, Clearance, Repair and Installation services to a high standard on both residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, playing a key role in the development and growth of this expanding part of the business. You must be able to work effectively in a team, providing support to team members when necessary. The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire and motivate team members to deliver great performances and results, so you must be able to build rapport and effective working relationships with others.
Our employees are our main asset and as such we pay our staff a good wage that includes a bonus scheme and commission based earnings potential. A company van and equipment will also be provided for you during working hours.
This role will include working at heights and travelling from location to location, so a full UK driver’s license is essential. Your working hours will vary but will normally fall between 7 – 8 hours a day, 5 - 6 days per week, Monday – Saturday on a shift basis, with a start time usually between 7:00am – 8:00am.
The Role
• Leading from the front, demonstrating excellent reasoning and problem-solving abilities
• External cleaning of fascias and guttering
• Surveying for repairs and installation work based on clients requirements
• Surveying for cleaning and clearance work based on clients requirements
• Cleaning, clearing, repairing and installing gutters as per your daily job sheet
• Training new team members to carry out high-quality Gutter Maintenance services on both residential and commercial properties
• Working effectively from verbal and written instructions, including diagrams and sketches
• Taking payments and liaising with office staff for bookings
• Recognising opportunities for up selling and increased customer satisfaction
• Ensuring efficient use of time to meet all bookings, targets and quality standards and providing suggestions to the Operations Manager on how to improve these aspects when necessary
• Liaising with office team regarding purchasing and ordering parts as required
• Maintaining your own health and safety as well as that of other team members by working within health and safety regulations/procedures
The Candidate
• The successful candidate MUST have a full clean UK driver’s license and a good driving record
• Experience working at heights in a safe and efficient manner either previously as a Gutter Maintenance Technician/Operative or Roofer
• Knowledge of gutter parts/roofing materials is advantageous, but a desire to learn and develop this knowledge is a must
• Expert ladder skills and experience working with scaffold/harness work
• Team management/Leadership skills – an ability to motivate, empower, train and develop team members
• Customer focused, with an ability to recognise opportunities to improve the customer's experience – you will be able to put the customer at the forefront of everything you do whilst demonstrating your leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively when unsupervised as well as in a team
• Must be in good physical condition

• A good work ethic
Salary: OTE expected to be between £25-30k+ p/a depending on experience
